On the 11th of June we said our final goodbyes to dear Indianapolis. It had been good to us and it was a little strange to think that it would no longer be our home. My dad and mom flew out to Indianapolis to help us pack and move. My mom flew to Utah with Luke (saved us!) while my dad drove the giant Penske truck which pulled Brad's car. Brad and I followed behind him in my car. After two days of driving we made it to Utah. Luke was sure excited to see the us... wait no he was sure excited to see the truck. His grandpa let him ride in the truck when we took it back to the rental place. Luke was in heaven!
For the first few weeks we stayed at my parents while we found somewhere to live. We enjoyed spending time with my parents and went on a few hikes to enjoy the mountains.

We went to So Jo days one night and joined my parents in their tradition of cold stone ice cream and fireworks. Luke was a little nervous at first but he soon added his own sound effects with grandpa.
My parents have a great big back yard that is always a work in
progress. My dad has this idea that forcing his children to dig holes
will inspire them to go to college so they will not have to dig holes
for a living. Thus, he had my little brother Matthew dig this sand box
that remained just a hole for a few years. Luke moving in inspired my
dad to finally get some sand. One night we all pitched in to move the
sand from the driveway into the sandbox. It was tough work and I was
sore, but Luke sure loves that sandbox. He also really loved riding on
the tractor with Grandpa and Dad. Thanks Matthew for digging that hole!

Loved this. Luke is the cutest!! I can't wait for you guys to get to Powell. So glad you guys live closer now...hopefully we start to have more family functions IF NOT then we can just meet up more often :)
Luke is so cute! He is looking so grown up now, like a little boy and no longer a baby. How fun! Looks like he really loves his grandpa too.
