Fall happenings

We've sure been busy here at the Stewart household. This past week we've been enjoying fall break. Of course Brad's was on Monday and Tuesday and mine was on Thursday and Friday, but we won't complain. Here are the highlights of our past few weekends. And believe me, our normal life isn't so happening.

First we went to THE fall festival down in Evansville. Brad grew up in Evansville and loves the fall festival which is basically the fair, but a lot more food. Since it is our last year here, we decided we better go one last time. We arrived in Evansville around 7 Friday night and headed straight for the festival. Brad's parents were able to drive up for the festival and to come to Brad to get some dental work done. The first night we just ate and visited with Brad's parents and aunt and uncle. Luke loved all of the attention. Saturday we went to the festival again and got to go on rides while Grandma hung out with Luke. We also played the games and Grandma won Luke a dolphin (he also won various other stuffed animals. yeah!) We of course got our fill of fried foods and just had a good time hanging out. When Luke reached his breaking point we made the three hour drive back home. Brad's parents joined us the next day and were able to stay for a few days, get some dental work done, take us to dinner, play with Luke, and celebrate Brad's birthday. It was a good time!

The next weekend we had the annual halloween party with our fellow fourth years. The Fortners are always our hosts and this year they pulled out all the stops. We had a murder-mystery party and the theme was circus. We all received a part and dressed accordingly. Then we spent the evening finding out who the murderer was. Brad was the sword swallower and I was the injured tight rope walker. The party was a blast.

Finally this weekend we had our ward's hayride and on Saturday we went to Zoo Boo. It was fun to see all the kids dressed up. Luke wasn't able to participate in many activities but he was able to trick-or-treat and do the obstacle course. We always love the zoo!
